Restorative Dentistry

We enjoy the challenge of restoring your smile, & thanks to rapid advances in dental technology, there is much more that we can do for our patients. Modern ceramic materials combined with the in-depth experience of our clinical team can assure you of a successful & long-lasting result. Whether the cause is accident or disease, we can restore your smile.

Restorative dentistry can include something a small as a filling. If cavities become too large for an ordinary filling, we will suggest an alternative–a ceramic onlay or inlay. These are skillfully made in the laboratory to fit the shape of the cavity & match the color of the surrounding teeth.

Preventive Dentistry

Preventive Dentistry is the area of dentistry concerned with preventing dental problems before they become costly or painful, or both. A large part of preventive dentistry is patient education. This includes learning the proper at-home dental care, nutrition, etc. Another aspect of preventive dentistry is oral hygiene through regular dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, mouth guards & more.

Mouthguards

Have you ever wondered how the best athletes prepare for competition? Of course they train hard, eat right & devote themselves to their sport day & night. But what if we told you that one of their secrets is as simple as a mouthguard? It’s true! It’s an innovative product praised by top professional & amateur athletes. Mouthguards help athletes avoid trauma to their teeth & can reduce the chance of concussion when impact occurs.

Fillings

At Tiny Teeth Dental Care, we offer traditional & tooth-colored fillings. Tooth-colored material can be used both as fillings & to repair defects in the teeth. Because they are tooth-colored, it’s difficult to distinguish them from natural teeth. These fillings are often used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important. They can be used on the back teeth as well, depending on the location & extent of the tooth decay.

Sealants

Sealants are highly effective in preventing tooth decay on the biting surfaces of chewing teeth. A sealant is a simple procedure in which Dr. Nydegger places a clear or tooth-colored acrylic “coating” onto the surface of the tooth. This effectively “seals” the deep grooves where decay is most likely to begin. This technique is usually done on permanent molars as soon as they have come in enough to be sealed. Sometimes primary molars have grooves deep enough to require sealing, as well. At less than half the cost of conventional fillings & without any anesthetics or drilling, sealants are one of the most important preventive tools Tiny Teeth Dental Care offers.
